Civil Writes: Paid Disability Pride Internship (Virtual)

Find your power, your people, and your story! Civil Writes is a paid, 10-week virtual internship offered by VCIL for students in grades 7–12 who are interested in disability pride, storytelling, and civil rights.
Participants will meet weekly on Zoom with peers to explore disability civil rights through stories, current events, and personal experiences. This internship offers a supportive space to build community, develop self-advocacy skills, and learn alongside others who share similar interests and lived experiences.
Participants will earn $600 while learning, growing, and making new connections.
Format: Virtual (Zoom)
Length: 10-week internship
Eligibility: Students in grades 7–12
Compensation: $600 stipend
