During the middle and high school years, students identify their career interests and preferences in particular career areas that should drive the assessment, services, experiences, and supports they receive to help refine their career plans.

An apprenticeship is a program where you learn a job by working with experienced people while also getting paid. The Apprenticeship.gov website helps people learn about different jobs you can train for through apprenticeships in the U.S. It’s a great place for anyone who wants to find out about careers and how to get started with hands-on training. The site also helps businesses find new apprentices, making it easier for people to learn new skills and get good jobs.

TransitionPros Professional Listserv
A professional discussion forum for individuals involved in supporting student transitions. TransitionPros is an active listserv for sharing questions, support requests, resources, and events related to the high school-to-adulthood transition for youth with disabilities.
