Civil Writes Paid Disability Pride Internship (Ages 12–22)
Find your voice, build confidence, and connect with a community that celebrates disability pride! The Civil Writes Paid Disability Pride Internship is a free 10-week virtual program for youth ages 12–22 who want to explore disability pride, self-advocacy, and independent living skills in a welcoming, low-pressure environment.
Led by disabled youth and adults, this internship encourages participants to share ideas, build meaningful connections, and develop valuable life skills while learning alongside peers with similar lived experiences. The program is intentionally low demand, with no video or voice participation requirements, making it accessible and comfortable for a variety of communication styles and support needs.
Participants will receive engaging supplies to support activities throughout the internship and will earn a $600 stipend for completing the program.
